It is a holistic and client centered program that also incorporates the release of unhelpful emotions as a way to increase success in health and overall weight loss.
Long term weight loss is not just about what you eat, and how much you exercise – sometimes there are other reasons our body holds onto extra weight. What is Involved?
The programme consists of five hypnotherapy sessions, tailored to your specific goals and individual needs. The sessions are best completed within a five to eight-week period.
During this time, you’ll be encouraged to follow some simple guidelines and be given a variety of personalised audio tracks to assist you along the way.
What happens during the Sessions?
Prior to the sessions you will complete a basic questionnaire and then have a consultation about how your food choices affects your life and what your weight loss goals are and why you have found weight loss challenging in the past. You will also be asked about what emotions you are experiencing in your life, what stresses you have and what challenges you face.
I will then take you through a series of relaxation exercises to calm the body and mind. Whilst in this deeply relaxed state you can still hear everything that is going on around you, you are still aware of your surroundings, but the conscious mind can rest. It is during this relaxed state that I can work with the subconscious mind to make the necessary changes which will enable you to feel satisfied on smaller amounts of food. The changes might include releasing stored emotions which cause the body to hold onto extra weight.
My clients tell me the thing they enjoy the most (and one of the reasons why this program is so successful) is that you can still enjoy the foods you want to eat. There’s no feelings of being denied or deprived and so many clients say that it feels like they have had a ‘switch flicked in their brains’ – they enjoy feeling in control around food. They also often find they are calmer, more relaxed and emotionally freer.

Sheila Granger's Work and Trial Results
Eighty per cent of Sheila Granger’s clients were coming to see her for weight control. Her weight control method using hypnotherapy worked well, but she decided to include the “virtual gastric band” into her programme.
Sheila conducted a free trial for 25 people and found it to be positive for 24 of the 25 people. Total weight loss was an impressive 190 lb (419 kg) in five weeks. A general practitioner in East Yorkshire, UK, arranged for a second trial to be conducted for 12 of his patients who had been removed from the weight loss surgery list on the UK’s National Health Services waiting list. Again 95% of the group experienced a positive result.
